Real Madrid has secured one of the most wanted midfield players in Europe, Jude Bellingham, from Borussia Dortmund. The 19-year-old midfielder will join the Spanish giants for an initial fee of €103 million, with an additional €20 million in add-ons. The deal also includes 30% of the initial fee that will make up the rest of the deal.

Bellingham made 31 league appearances for Dortmund this season, scoring eight goals and even captaining the side. Manchester City and Liverpool were also interested in signing Bellingham, but Real Madrid beat them in the race to secure the young talent.

Real Madrid's New Galactico: Jude Bellingham

Real Madrid has a history of signing emerging talents, which has paid off with key first-team players such as Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Goes, Federico Valverde, and Eduardo Camavinga. Bellingham will join Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni as Madrid renew their midfield.

Bellingham's signing marks one of the highest-value transfers in the history of both clubs. Real Madrid has paid €103 million, plus up to 30% of the fixed amount in potential add-ons, to sign him. Bellingham is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days before signing the deal.

Real Madrid's signing of Bellingham comes after the club's announcement that Karim Benzema would be leaving to join Saudi Arabia's Al Ittihad. Benzema was the club captain and had scored 354 goals for Madrid, more than Raul Gonzalez and Alfredo di Stefano.

It remains to be seen how Madrid will fill the void left by Benzema's departure, as they have seen high-profile departures before, including Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018, Sergio Ramos in 2021, and Casemiro and Marcelo in 2022. However, with the signing of young talents like Bellingham, Madrid's future looks bright.
